Demolition Sequencing
Proper sequencing is critical for cooling system decommissioning. We coordinate with IT removal, power decommissioning, and demolition contractors.
Phase 1
IT Load Removal
Servers removed first, eliminating cooling requirements.
Phase 2
In-Row & CRAC/CRAH
Room-level cooling units decommissioned.
Phase 3
Chilled Water Distribution
Piping, pumps, and distribution removed.
Phase 4
Central Plant
Chillers and cooling towers decommissioned last.
Why Sequencing Matters
- Safety: Active cooling may be needed until IT load is removed
- Efficiency: Proper order minimizes labor and equipment moves
- Coordination: Demo contractors need cooling out before structure work
- Compliance: Refrigerant recovery must happen before unit moves
EPA-Compliant Refrigerant Recovery
All refrigerant recovery is performed by EPA-certified technicians with complete documentation.
